Position: Coordinator, PAC & Grassroots
Supervisor: Director, PAC & Grassroots FLSA: Non-Exempt

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Under the general direction of the Vice President, Government Affairs, and the Director, PAC and Grassroots, provide general administrative support as directed towards the legislative, regulatory and policy goals of the association .
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Duties & Responsibilities for PAC
• Manage PAC compliance database and maintain financial records, including processing PAC receipts and disbursements
• Generate a variety of receipt and disbursement reports including donor contribution levels and state specific data.
• Maintain solicitation authorization records as required by FEC and conduct solicitation mailings/drives.
• Preparation of meeting materials.
• Assist Director with creation, development and execution of annual PAC fundraising events.
• Prepare materials for weekly fundraising meeting with Lobbying staff.
• Draft solicitation mailings and scripts
• Plan, manage and implement member advocacy events and send out related materials
• Other duties as assigned
Duties & Responsibilities for Grassroots
• Maintain Grassroots Database
• Drafting of Educational Materials for distribution to the Grassroots Network
• Monitoring issues where grassroots activation is needed
• Advocacy Meeting Planning
• Update Grow the Vote Website with informative material relating to the forest and paper industry
• Work with Director to implement creative and innovative grassroots activities, materials, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
Qualifications:
• Strong writing skills
• Familiarity with Vocus or other FEC compliance database a plus
• Detail-oriented with ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to meet and manage deadlines
• Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team
• Campaign or other political experience a plus
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in political science or related field
• One year of PAC fundraising experience preferred
