ImageWhoever you are and wherever you live, you can always do something to help protect our planet. Take a look at what other youth are doing. Be creative. Start with something simple, like reusing and recycling your used paper grocery bags. Encourage your family and friends to get involved, too.

As youth leader Melissa Poe, whose six-member environmental club, called Kids For A Clean Environment (Kids F.A.C.E.), in Nashville, Tennessee, has grown to over 300,000, reminds us, "Never underestimate the power of one to make a difference." Earth Day Groceries ProjectImage

Team up with your local grocer on this cost-free environmental project. It's simple and fun. You and your classmates borrow a supply of paper grocery bags from a local grocery store, decorate them with Earth Day messages and return them to the grocery store before Earth Day, April 22. On Earth Day, customers receive their groceries. and the message that kids care about our environment. in the decorated bags. Tree Musketeers

Partners for the Planet (P4P) empowers youth to take action in homes and communities nationwide. Earth-Friendly Schools Hawaii International

Earth-Friendly Schools Hawaii International is a "community environmental action" program that involves students in recycling projects, gardening and area clean-ups. Earth Murals

The Earth Murals project is a series of environmental murals created by children from across the U.S. and the globe.  Started in 200 by Global Kids Care, a non-profit youth environmental organization, the project is dedicated to increasing interest and enthusiasm for recycling.  To discover how you can make a difference in your community, contact www.earthmurals.org.
