Environmental, Health & Safety Principles
The American Forest & Paper Association is committed to protecting the environment, the health and safety of employees and the public, and to sustainable management of natural resources. To emphasize this commitment, AF&PA members established the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Principles Program, which requires annual adherence to eight separate principles as a condition of membership. Their adoption is in keeping with the forest products industry's long-standing history of successful voluntary efforts in environmental, health, and safety stewardship. Through all these efforts, the industry has made significant and continuous environmental improvements.
