WASHINGTON - The American Forest & Paper Association has released its February 2013 Kraft Paper Report.
Total Kraft paper shipments were 119 thousand tons, a decrease of 15 percent compared to the prior month. Bleached Kraft paper shipments increased year-over-year 13 percent while unbleached Kraft paper shipments decreased 13 percent year-over-year. As a result, total Kraft paper shipments are down slightly less than one percent compared to the first two months of 2012. Total month-end inventory decreased 3 percent to 71.3 thousand tons this month compared to January 2013 month-end inventories.
