As an industry that prides itself on our voluntary recycling success,
we know the importance of being recognized for great recovery
efforts. The more than 65 percent of paper recovered in 2012 was
due to efforts of communities, schools, and businesses across
the country that recycle paper and paper-based packaging every
day. We want to hear about the innovative and creative things you are doing to
make your paper recycling programs successful.
Here is how you can share your success story, and get recognized for it. The 2014 AF&PA Recycling Awards are now open!
With even more chances to win, the 2014 Awards program has been redesigned to offer increased opportunities to highlight your program. Applicants in three categories – school, business and community – now each have four chances to win. Programs will be judged on creativity, participation, partnership, and volume of paper collected. Winners receive a cash prize, an original piece of framed artwork, and visibility in local and national media. Winning programs will also gain national visibility on the paperrecyles.org
website. Case studies of award-winning programs will also be used to give recycling coordinators ideas to adapt and incorporate into their own programs.
Deadline for entries is March 7th -- we can’t wait to hear about your program -- so enter today! Visit us at paperrecycles.org
to submit your entry. We are very excited and look forward to recognizing the great efforts that contribute to increasing paper recovery for recycling across the country.
