AF&PA Promotes Jesse Levine to Vice President, Public Policy

Levine joins senior leadership team and will lead AF&PA’s regulatory advocacy

WASHINGTON — The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) today announced the promotion of Jesse Levine to Vice President, Public Policy. In this role, he will lead the association’s regulatory advocacy.

“Jesse knows the policy issues and what they mean for our members,” said AF&PA President and CEO Heidi Brock. “I’m excited to have him bring that perspective and more than 15 years of experience to this role. We’re working every day to make sure pulp, paper, packaging and tissue manufacturers can invest and compete. Jesse will play a key role in that work.”

Levine previously served as AF&PA’s Senior Director, Energy and Environmental Policy, where he advanced the association’s water and energy regulatory priorities and led its sustainability initiative, Better Practices, Better Planet 2030. Before joining AF&PA, he worked at the U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association and Crowell & Moring. His experience also includes service with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. House Committee on Energy and Commerce.

“Regulatory policy must recognize how mills operate and what they need to compete,” said Levine. “I look forward to working with our members to continue bringing that understanding to policymakers. Science-based rules, efficient permitting and affordable, reliable energy help mills plan and invest for the future.”
