AF&PA Releases Q4 2025 Boxboard Quarterly Report

WASHINGTON – The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) released the Q4 2025 Boxboard Quarterly report.

Total Boxboard production in Q4 decreased 2% compared to Q4 2024. It was down 1% when compared to the same 12 months of 2024. The boxboard operating rate was 85.6%, down 2.3 points from the same quarter last year.

  • Unbleached Kraft & Coated Recycled Boxboard production remained essentially flat (+0.2%) compared to Q4 2024 and was down 4% when compared to the same 12 months of 2024.
  • Tube, Can & Drum - Domestic production decreased 4% compared to Q4 2024, and was down 1% when compared to the same 12 months of 2024.
  • All Unmade Orders for Solid Bleached Boxboard, Unbleached Kraft & Coated Recycled Boxboard and Uncoated Recycled Boxboard increased compared to December 2024.
