Total printing-writing paper shipments decreased 25% in April compared to April 2022. U.S. purchases of total printing-writing papers decreased 21% in April compared to the same month last year. Total printing-writing paper inventory levels decreased 1% when compared to March 2023.

Total Boxboard production in Q1 decreased 5% compared to Q1 2022. The boxboard operating rate was 87.8%, down 6.1 points from Q1.
